Who We Are

About Us

Gallen Engineering LLC is a multidisciplinary MEPFP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection) Engineering Firm founded by Kevin Gallen, PE, LEED AP. Our staff has designed hundreds of projects of all types and sizes (renovation, new construction, design-build, commercial office, retail, restaurant, single & multi-family residential, hotels, apartment buildings, government facilities, etc.) throughout the USA, with the occasional project outside the country. While primarily focusing on the NYC and Philadelphia Metro Areas, we have staff throughout the country ready to provide design and consulting services for your construction and renovation projects. We currently hold engineering licenses in NY, NJ, PA, CT and TX (and can obtain licensure in other jurisdictions as needed).

Leadership

Kevin B. Gallen, PE

Throughout his career, Kevin has been involved with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineering (ASHRAE), most notably with their New York Chapter. He is currently serving on the Handbook Committee, overseeing 10 chapters of the 2021 ASHRAE Fundamentals Handbook, after completing a 4-year tenure on the Conferences and Exposition Committee. Prior to that, he was a voting member on the Administration Subcommittee for Standing Standard Project Committee 62.1 (Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality). On the chapter level, he has previously served as President of the New York Chapter, as well as chair of the chapter's website, newsletter, public relations, and bylaws & guidelines committee. He was a nominee in 2007 for ASHRAE's New Faces in Engineering, and has won several ASHRAE awards on a regional level for his work in the New York Chapter.

Kevin is currently Vice-Chair of the Lower Makefield Township Environmental Advisory Council.

Kevin started his career with The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company in Allentown, PA. After graduating from Villanova University, he relocated to the NYC area and started his MEP career with Cosentini Associates. From there, he moved on to Fiskaa Engineering, Joseph R. Loring & Associates, Dewberry, and Horizon Engineering Associates, prior to pursuing Gallen Engineering on a full-time basis. Kevin has been licensed to practice engineering since 2005. In 2003, he earned LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accreditation, further specializing in Building Design & Construction in 2011. He also spent six years as Associate Adjunct Professor at New York University, in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies.

Wing F. Wong, PE, LEED AP

Before starting WW Enigneering PLLC, Wing was the Chief Electrical Engineer and Project Manager for URS Coporation, one of the largest engineering companies with over 50,000 employees in the world.

He has extensive experience designing and managing MEP projects for a variety of facilities, including transportation, commercial, residential, healthcare, educational, data center and mission critical facilities. His expertise includes the design of low to medium Voltage (120V-69kV) power distribution system, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system, emergency and standby generator power system, DC power system and fire alarm system. He is also an expert in using SKM and EDSA electrical software for short circuit/coordination studies and arc flash analysis.

Alex W. Bejar

Alex W. Bejar is a Senior Fire Protection/Plumbing Engineer with over 15+ years of experience designing Fire Protection/Plumbing systems for a wide range of projects that include , Residential, Commercial, High End Retail, Industrial and Pharmaceutical projects. He is associated with the design and layout of equipment, processes and supporting systems concerned with fire prevention, control, suppression along with sanitary plumbing and drainage systems that provide for regulatory requirements. His additional responsibilities include identifying risks and designs safeguards that aid in preventing, controlling, and mitigating the effects of fires. In addition, he assists architects, building owners and developers in evaluating buildings’ life safety and property protection goals.
